Thank you for applying to the Shiny Fuzzy Muddy Show. This year will are hosting our 17th annual show and sale and we are already planning for a busy and successful show. SFM has become known as one of the best curated art, craft and design shows in the city and we strive every year to have a fresh, relevant, professional and amazing show. Please fill out the short application form by February 28th. We will contact you if your application is successful by the end of March.

Show Details
Location: Heritage Hall (3102 Main Street, Vancouver, BC)
Dates: December 14 + 15, 2019
Hours: Saturday 11am–6pm, Sunday 10am–6pm

Please note that in order to participate in SFM:

  • You as the artist/maker MUST be present at the show with your work for the COMPLETE duration of the show.
  • You cannot be showing elsewhere in the Lower Mainland the weekend of SFM.
    You cannot close or teardown early as it impacts other vendors and the professionalism of the show.
  • You must arrive for set up at least 2 hrs prior to show opening, if not your booth space may be forfeited without notification or refund.
  • You cannot share booths with another artist.
  • No Sales or Clearance items are permitted.
  • SFM reserves the right to use all submitted images and content for event promotion.
  • You agree to advertise and promote SFM across all your social media platforms leading up to the show.
  • Future participation may be affected by lack of show promotion across social media channels.

Booth Fee (for 2 days)

Please select your ideal booth size. Please note it is not guaranteed that you will receive your first pick but we do our best to accommodate everyone and we will reach out to you if there is a problem with your booth size request.

  • Full Booth fees will be paid upon acceptance via e-transfer.
  • Cancellations: if cancellation occurs before Sept 1st, 2019 50% of booth fee will be refunded. After Sept 1st, 2019 all fees are 100% non-refundable.
  • Large booths are limited and are up to organizer's discretion.

* The New and Now artisan section is a new way for Early Career Artists to participate in our show. We consider artists with less than 3 years of experience to be Early Career artists. This section is also open to Professional Artists, (who have been at their craft for 3+ years) who will be exhibiting a newly developed body of work only (ie not with their previous work). Participants in this section receive a 4x5 ft display area. Tables and chairs are included, or you may wish to bring your own free standing display. The Shiny Fuzzy Muddy Show reserves the right to make these booths available at our discretion, we will contact you if we feel your work may be better served in a different type of booth. Price is $300.

To be considered for our New and Now Section, please describe the work you would be exhibiting, and if you would be considered an Early Career or Professional Artist. For Professional Artists, please describe how this work is different from previous bodies of work i.e. new techniques used, new materials etc.

Display notes/FAQs

  • SFM is an open concept show, without pipe and drape backdrops.
  • Overhead lighting is limited in certain areas of the hall but there are ample outlets for your own display lighting. We encourage all vendors to have lots of lights.
  • Clothing vendors may wish to bring their own pop up fitting room, or allow customers to use the washrooms for trying on, please consider when choosing booth size choice.
