Flight Path Designs
I attended the Fibre Program at the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with Distinction in 2006. Inspired by a love of bold patterns, design and traveling, Flight Path was created in 2007. The leatherwork has evolved out of for vintage graphic imagery. Naomi currently resides in Vancouver where she divides her time at her studio in east Vancouver and with her loving family.
Artist Statement:
I love well designed objects, rich tactile surfaces, and a minimal aesthetic. As a result, I’m drawn to creating pieces that are nostalgic but also have a certain quality of timelessness to them.All of my pieces are made lovingly from hand with a utilitarian focus. I feel very fortunate to live in an era that supports local artisans. All my products are made with a commitment to creating an alternative to mass produced products and supporting locally made economies.
